Free Sights to See While You Are in London, England

Beautiful and Historic London Can Be Great and Free

A city that has been shrouded in mystery and excitement for centuries is London, England. Many people have spent fortunes in London but, thanks to my careful research, you do not have to be one of those people. There are so many great things to be seen and done for free in London. All of the major museums are Free! Not to mention if you are in the right place you can watch beautiful English ceremony.

First is the Changing of the Guard. A master of British military precision the ceremony usually takes place everyday during the summer months and on alternate days during the rest of the year. The ceremony itself dates back hundreds of years and proves just how much history is important in London. You can see the ceremony at either Buckingham Palace or St. James Palace. St. James Palace is actually the center of the British Monarchy and the same regiment guards it that guards Buckingham Palace. Part of the ceremony is solders taking up guard place at St. James Palace as well as Buckingham Palace. The ceremony starts at roughly 11:00am. If you are in London, England then watching the Changing of the Guard is a must see.

The next best historic site that you must see for free while you are in London is the Tower of London. Yes it is true this place has a very grim past but, it also has a most interesting one too. Like it once served as a Royal Palace and also a zoo. Tickets are free but must be book well in advance sometimes up to two months. It is well worth it to get a chance to see writing on walls that was put there by prisoners over 500 years ago. The address to the Tower is London, London EC3N 4AB.

The last on my list is the Royal Air Force Museum. It has over 100 aircraft and many other interactive attractions like a full on flight simulator for those of you that even dare. The museum has a lot of information about the battle of Britain and then moving further into modern day. The RAF museum in London houses planes from around the world and some from the early day of flight.

These are just a few of the great things that you can view for free while you are in London. England is a great place to visit and this web site can give you more details on the few things I have mentioned here and many more.
