Free Sleeping Beauty Pumpkin Carving Patterns: Maleficent Stencils

If you are wanting to decorate this Halloween using Disney characters, but are looking for something a little darker than usual, Disney villains are always a good option. They offer a dark side of Halloween without being too scary for most children.

One popular villain is Maleficent from Disney's Sleeping Beauty. You can find a free pumpkin carving pattern of Maleficent on the website cartoon jr. It is a portrait stencil image which is designed in a way that is easy to use for both kids and for beginning level pumpkin carving.

All you have to do is print it out from the website and attach it to your pumpkin. Once attached, you can then poke holes by following the dotted lines of the Maleficent stencil. The grey areas of the carving pattern are the areas which will be carved out.

About Disney's Maleficent

In the animated Disney film, it is this fairy character who puts a curse on Princess Aurora. She has a fitting name which means "evil doer".

Eleanor Audley was the voice of the character. Eleanor Audley also voiced the evil stepmother in the Cinderella film.

Free Maleficent Dragon Stencil

Another pumpkin carving pattern that would work well with the previous one mentioned is one Maleficent's Dragon. It also would make a good dragon image even for people who just like dragons in general.

It is free and printable from the Family.com website. You can view it on the website. They also offer easy to follow instructions on using it.

Sleeping Beauty Pumpkin Carving Patterns: Princess Stencils

I have not been able to find a free Princess Aurora stencil. If you are having the same trouble, you might consider just making your own Disney princess stencils out of free coloring page printables.

The website Cartoon Jr. also has a free Sleeping Beauty coloring page of the princess and prince together that could work nicely as a pumpkin pattern. You can view the coloring page on the Cartoon Jr. website.

About Disney's Princess Aurora

Princess Aurora is also referred to as Briar Rose in the movie. The character was supposedly modeled after actress Audrey Hepburn. She was voiced by Mary Costa.
