For your own specific requirements the existing soccer exercises can be altered. Here are some of the tips that can help you accomplish a creative soccer training program.
Your plan shouldn't be rigid. Not every plan will materialize as planned. The kids will fall sick or may not turn up if it rains. Make arrangement to cover all the possible obstructers.
It's best to have multiple soccer practice games. If there is any hiccup in execution of the plan remove it and proceed to the next agenda. Just go with the flow and you will be able to make out what works best with the kids.
Make sure your kids warm up before every practice session. Apart from the regular soccer drills that warm up the body, make them use the soccer ball as well. The kids can rotate the ball between their feet's; kick the ball back and forth using their feet.
The free soccer drills used for warming up are designed with a fun element and are available in plenty.
Each player has access to one soccer ball at least. Now devise several individual activities that they can perform using the ball. Activities such as shooting, dribbling and hitting the ball against the wall should be practiced. The player's movement should be free and the playing area shouldn't have any lines or marks.
In soccer coaching, after the individual activities are over, involve the players in some group activities. There is a lot of fun in drills like passing and receiving the balls. Without a goal keeper the kids should play soccer in teams. Let them hit the goals and do not set boundaries for this game.
Upon learning to attack the players should be taught how to defend. This style of coaching will enable the players to develop their own style.
During group activities the players should be grouped together as a team. Generally the kids will require some time to adjust to the concept of team play while shifting from individual to group activities. A coach plays a guiding role here.
Highlight the need to support each other in order to win matches. The players learn to work as a team, practice in a limited area while not doing much the ball, this is the biggest impact of this drill.
Handling soccer exercise in this way is the easiest. Mix and match various free soccer drills that you think is the best way to teach the kids to learn.
