Free Stuff I've Received Through Slickdeals.net

Freebie Fever Has Affected Me

Elisa Nova
The Slickdeals.net freebie forum is one of the most addictive on the web. No matter the income or lifestyle, everybody loves freebies. Plodding through the forum requires sifting through the necessary (cosmetics, cleaning supplies, foods) and unnecessary (odd DVDs, perfume samples which basically are lift and sniffï )

Of course, freebie addiction is bad if you are the type of person to purchase products based on sampling, which is exactly what the samples are intended for. I am not one of those people, I usually enjoy the freebies and move on.

Some of the things I've received, free of charge, thanks to links posted on Slickdeals:

Sunsilk 'Get Hairapy' Hiydra TLC samples of shampoo, conditioner and creme.

Sunsilk 'Get Hairapy' Anti-Flat samples of shampoo, conditioner and creme.

These are great to keep in the shower in case your shampoo runs out and you've forgotten to purchase a refill, as yours truly has often done.

Flaxseed from golden flax.com- I've used it in bread and cakes.

Cottonelle Flushable Moist Wipes Travel Pack- we keep this in the car.

Matrix earplugs- Two pairs, one of which came with strings. I live right off a busy Brooklyn avenue and these earplugs really help a lot.

Charmin toilet paper holder extender- the rod extends to accommodate an extra roll.

Three free copies of Redbook- the only caveat is that you must remember to cancel your subscription after the first three issues.

Always pad samples- these proved to be quite useful.

Prilosec for heartburn- these need to be taken over an extended period of time, so two pills don't really do much good, but we didn't know that before requesting the sample.

Mouse pad (NYC Recycles)- I needed a mouse pad, so I signed up for the NYC recycling kit and got the mouse pad as well as various charts and stickers.

Nivea hand cream- very useful for trips.

Pepcid- from Walmart.com

Swiffer Duster

Arm & Hammer toothpaste

Carolina Brown Rice 4 oz sample

I anxiously await various teas and other samples. Am I crazy?

I love freebies and never heard of this site (there are so many -- most of them not worth the time). Thanks for the info!

Very useful information. I did a Prilosec one and got a free 14 pill sample. Actually it was a cupon good for a two week supply, but pretty much the same thing.
