Cleveland Orchestra 4th of July Pop Concert

This annual free concert in Cleveland is a favorite way for many families to celebrate the holiday. The Cleveland Orchestra offers a free July 4th concert at the Terminal Tower on Public Square in Cleveland each year. Arrive early to enjoy the music and to get a good seat before the fireworks.

Lake Erie Beach (Metro Headlands Park)

It may not be easy to find the perfect beach in Cleveland, but the Metro Headlands Park and Beach has one of the best in the area. Metro Headlands Park is located just a short drive outside of Cleveland, in Lake County. The sandy beach is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy the warm summer weather on the shores of Lake Erie this summer. Pack a picnic lunch and a beach blanket and enjoy the free summer fun at the beach this summer.

Great Lakes Brewing Company

The Great Lakes Brewing Company is a must-see for beer lovers. The company offers free tours for visitors. Guests at the Great Lakes Brewing Company in Cleveland will get to see how beer is made, as they tour the factory. Tours are held each Friday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm, and on Saturdays from 1:00 until 9:00 pm. A new tour begins every hour.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

Residents of Cuyahoga County get a special rate at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on Mondays. Guests mush show valid resident identification to get Free admission on Mondays. There are hundreds of animals at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, and the Zoo is a favorite for both local residents and tourists.

Parade the Circle

Join the fun in the annual Parade the Circle this summer. The Parade the Circle is held at the University Circle area of Cleveland each year in June. In 2007, the Parade the Circle will take place on June 9th. This popular free event offers entertainment, food, music, vendors,puppet and story telling activities and exhibits, in addition to the classic parade. For only $5 visitors can become a part of the parade, which begins at 1:00.

Arrive early for the best seats. The Parade the Circle activities begin at 11:00 am on June 9th and last until 4:00 pm. Parking is available on nearby streets and lots.

185th Street Festival

Cleveland is a city that loves to celebrate different festivals throughout the year. During the summer months a number of popular festivals take place in Cleveland. The 185th Street festival is a Slavic festival that features homemade Slavic cuisine, crafts, a street festival, Polkas and dancing, and live music. the 185th Street Festival is free. The first weekend in August is the designated date for the 185th Street Festival each year in Cleveland.

KidsFest 2007

In mid-July, children can enjoy the popular, and free, KidsFest in Cleveland. This fun children's festival offers free activities for kids in a fun atmosphere. Crafts and many different hands-on activities for kids are just two of the free activities for kids at the Cleveland KidsFest. Music and food vendors make the KidsFest a great place to spend some free time this summer in Cleveland.
