And the best thing is that all the events that are listed are free. You will not have to pay anything for admission. Now on some events you may have to pay for food and other things like that. 8th Annual Therapeutic Recreation Arts Festival
This annual event will take place on May 4th from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the Clear Channel Metroplex. This festival helps enrich the lives of people with disabilities, and their non-disabled peers by encouraging creativity through the arts. There will be hands on activities, make it and take it crafts, a climbing wall, food, music, and much more. Admission is free for this event. Sandwiching in History Tour
We all know that the last thing that children want to think about during the summer is school, or anything that has to do with school. Here is something that you and your whole family can enjoy. On May 4th you can go take a tour of the historic Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. The Cathedral is a Gothic Revival style building that begun in 1884 and completed in 1889. In 1924 a chapel was added in memory of the founding Bishop Reverand Henry Niles Pierce. 34th Annual Territorial Fair
On May 12th at the Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock you and your family can enjoy this annual fair. This fair has a different theme every year so you won't see the same thing if you went last year or any of the years before. While at the fair you will enjoy living history presentations, hands on activities for children, 19th century dancing, and craft demonstrations. Also the museum store will be open and stocked with the best of Arkansas made arts and crafts. The fair will be open from 10:00am to 4:00pm. 2nd Annual Healing Hearts Fun For All
Kaleidoscope Kids hosts this years Healing Hearts Fun For All. On May 12th you can enjoy free refreshments, a Salute to Moms Walk over Big Dam Bridge, magic shows, Bike Safety Rodeo, and a balloon release with Ed Buckner. 23rd Annual Greek Food Festival
This is a great festival for your entire family to learn about the Greek culture. This event will take place from May 18th through May 20th. At this event you will enjoy the Medley of Greek and Middle Eastern cuisines, a limited menu drive through, guided church tours, live entertainment including costumed dancers from the Greek-American Folkdance Society, and children's activities and rides. Also the Indoor Old Market offers exceptional imports, artwork, pastries, and coffee bar. The hours are 11:00am to 9:00pm Friday and Saturday, and 12:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday. Kids' Fishing Derby
Most kids these days love to go fishing. On May 19th your children ages 15 and under can enjoy a fun day of fishing at Pinnacle Mountain State Park. At 8:00am everybody will meet at the park pond for an exciting morning of fishing contest, interpretive activities, and prizes. Admission is free. All that you need to bring is your bait and tackle. Sandwiching in History Tour
On June 1st you will get the chance to take a tour of the historic buildings that make up the Philander Smith Historic District. The tour will meet at Wesley Chapel on the Philander Smith College Campus. Little Rock Wind Symphony Flag Day Concert
On June 11th at the Second Presbyterian Church you can go to the Stars and Stripes Celebration. It's their annual salute to the red, white, and blue. They will have handclapping marches, flag waving patriotic songs, toe tapping broadway show tunes, and free icecream. Admission is free and all you need to bring is your family and your picnic baskets. Fun on the Fourth
Are you looking for something for your family to do on July 4th? Well if you are then you need to check out this wonderful event at Pinnacle Mountain State Park. From 10:00am to 1:00pm you can enjoy a fun day filled with exciting games such as the tree cookie toss, watermelon seed spitting, and water balloon toss. Games will start every 30 minutes and all this wonderful fun will take place in the picnic area of Pinnacle Mountain. Frontier Fourth of July
If you would still like to have fun on the 4th but also would like to add a little history in the mix then this event is just for you.
