The farmers market can be a great place for kids to learn about fruits and vegetables. It is also a great place for them to meet local farmers and learn the importance of fruits and vegetables in their diets. What can be better than a free movie? Starting in early June until the end of August, you can enjoy a free movie with your family and friends. Station Square
Station Square offers many things to grab the kids attention. For the month of August every Sunday at Sunset, Station Square is having Movies of the Mon. The free movies include: E.T.,Ghost Busters, Back to the Future, and Ghost Busters. There is a fountain show from 9am until midnight everyday at Bessemer Court. Pittsburgh Flea Market on the Strip
Although it is free to go and look around, you may want to bring a little money in case you find something interesting to buy. Located at 21st and Railroad, there is something for everyone from hand crafted goods to miscellaneous delights. Click HERE for more information.
There are many more free summer activities you can enjoy in Pittsburgh. Although they are yearly events, they only happen once over each summer. Weekend community festivals, Three Rivers Art Festival, Wings over Pittsburgh Airshow and many more, take place each year and are free admission.
