The Crocker Art Museum, through the support of Wells Fargo is offering free admission on Sundays from 10am to 1pm. For kids they have free activity packs so they can learn and have fun as they explore the museum. Friday Nights at Cesar Chavez Plaza in Sacramento. Every Friday from Cinco de Mayo through August 11th, thousands of locals head downtown to hear local bands because nothing says summer fun, quite like outdoor concerts. It's a free, all ages show with food vendors and a beer garden for the 21-and-older crowd. Concerts start at 5 p.m. (downtownsac.org)
Healthy Kids Day. May 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Samuel C. Pannell Meadowview Community Center. This activity day includes free health screening for kids, fun carnival games, face paintings, City Police K9 demonstration, and City fire fighters with a fire truck. Pops in the Park. This free outdoor concert series is held the several East Sacramento parks from June through September. Concerts are at 6 p.m. on Saturdays. Free Summer Concert Series Sundays 5 to 7 p.m. from June 10th to August 20th at Rusch park in Citrus Heights. These all ages concerts are sponsored by the Sunrise Recreation and Park District and the city of Citrus Heights. Bands currently scheduled include Capitol Pop's, Swing Masters, and the Sacramento Banjo Band. Take your family to enjoy a Sunday afternoon in the park.

Juneteenth Festival, celebrating the emancipation proclamation is held June 16th and 17th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m in William Land Park. Admission is free, and it features Live Entertainment, Children's Area, and Theatrical Performances.
The California Peach Festival in downtown Marysville. This free festival is held Saturday, July 15 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. It has live music, a huge play area for kids, and lots of peaches.
