Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Tax Preparation Workshops

Check out Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA). NOVA, in partnership with the Northern Virginia Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope Campaign, conducts tax workshops from January to mid-April each year to help low income residents, and those with low English proficiency, file taxes.

Volunteers are trained in tax preparation basics and in special tax credits. They can also assist in free electronic filing of taxes. This campaign is part of a broader initiative run by the IRS, which trains and certifies volunteer tax preparers. Tax preparation is offered by appointment only at convenient campus locations in Alexandria and Woodbridge. For appointments, call (703) 845-6222 (Alexandria) or (703) 878-5684 (Woodbridge).
