Free Thanksgiving E-Cards to Show Your Thanks Through

Annie Trinh
Holidays are a time for giving thanks for your friends and family and to let them know how much you appreciate them. Last fall, I had been trying to teach my mother how to use a computer because I wanted to show her how it could make her life easier. She's quite old fashioned, but I was determined to usher her into the 21st century. We had been having weekly lessons, but then the holidays were quickly approaching, so our lessons had to be put on the back-burner. On Thanksgiving Day, our house was swarming with family and the smell of pumpkin pie wafted in the air. I found a quick second to check my email and I was surprised to see I had an email from my mother! This from the woman who didn't know what a mouse was! She had sent me an e-card with a dancing turkey with the message, "Who knew you could teach an old turkey new tricks! Thank you!"

All of a sudden I felt a hand on my shoulder and it was my mom standing behind me. She was beaming and told me how happy she was when she figured out how to get to the website and send an e-card all by herself. She kissed me on the forehead and walked back to the kitchen. That moment between my mother and me made that day one of my most memorable Thanksgivings.

I've always been a fan of e-cards, but after that Thanksgiving, I've used them even more. They're simple, easy, and creative and many sites offer them for free. Check out these websites that offer free Thanksgiving e-cards and let someone close to you know much you mean to them.
