Visiting Fort Collins, Colorado for Less

Fort Collins, Colorado is a heart-warming place to visit during the summer months. It's a great city, a friendly city, and there are a lot of activities free of charge for natives, locals as well as tourists.

The Anheuser Busch brewery tour is a good way to while away a few hours. Photographers are welcome. This is a huge brewery, the samples are good, and even the snacks are free. If you can resist the temptation to purchase gifts from the gift shop, the entire visit will be free.

The University of Colorado at Fort Collins is nice, it's big, there are a lot of students there in the fall, winter, and early spring - in the summer, the place is almost deserted. However, the think-tank of the student body operates year-round, so don't worry, and be friendly.

Various breweries downtown, such as the Fort Collins Brewery, New Belgium Brewery, Coppersmith's Pub and Brewery, and the Odell Brewing Company.

The gardens and parks of Fort Collins, including the one around the Fort Collins Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

The New Belgium Brewery is powered by aeolian energy and photovoltaic energy, or wind energy and solar energy. This brewery has had energy monitors since its construction in the Fort Collins area, and the tour is an excellent one. The free samples of beer are of a superior quality, it's fresh beer and the staff is amiable.

Cheyenne, Wyoming is about 60 miles north of Fort Collins, Colorado, and is the site of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo held at Cheyenne Frontier Days Park. When there are no events, visiting Cheyenne Frontier Days Park is a no admission fee deal. There is a Sanford's restaurant as well as the Snake River Valley Brewery in the area. The Cheyenne Historical Museum is a good place to visit, and the downtown area is a good place to walk around, too. As long as you are driving from Denver, you might as well give this place a look-see, also.

Summer around the Rocky Mountains is short and sweet, these are two marvelous places to visit for little or no cost.
