- Enjoy the view of the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, a long strip that overlooks the Brooklyn Queens expressway and faces not just the East River, but across the water, Lower Manhattan as well. This beautiful New York City landmark has been featured in Woody Allen's Annie Hall and Norman Jewison's Moonstruck, and offers spectacular, clear, and unobstructed views of the New York skyline. It is a peaceful, clean, safe, and even romantic place, which has some of the best views in the city.

- Check out the Fort Greene Flea every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. The outdoor flea market is located at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, (on Lafayette Avenue between Clermont Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue).
- Check out the Brooklyn Flea every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This outdoor flea market is located under the Brooklyn Bridge in DUMBO. Their website is here.

Good info. I like the idea of restaurants with free movie viewings as well as free concerts.
Brooklyn sounds a lot like Madison, with all its free activities and markets.
