1. Fort Worth Botanic Gardens:
We always go here on Mother's Day. Free admission. A beautiful array of flower gardens that are in full bloom during the Mother's Day holiday. Many people bring a picnic lunch and tour the gardens at their leisure. Also great for bird watching. http://www.fwbg.org

2. Japanese Gardens: Located inside the Botanic Gardens, with a low cost admission for viewing. Walk the paths of Japanese style gardens with koi ponds. Beautiful Japanese style buildings scattered throughout. Http://www.fwbg.org

Admission: Adults $3.00 weekdays, $3.50 week ends and holidays -
Seniors $.50 off regular admission - Children (4-12 yrs.) $2.00 - under 4 free

3. Conservatory: Located next door to the Botanic Gardens. Beautiful green house style building housing rare tropical plants indoors. Low cost fee for viewing. Restaurant and gift show on site. Http://www.fwbg.org

Admission: Adults $1.00 - Seniors $.50 - Children (4-12 yrs.) $.50 - under 4 free
(one adult may sponsor up to 5 children)

4. Water Gardens: Located in the downtown Fort Worth area. Beautiful outdoor structures with water. This place was actually a major film location in the cult film Logan's Run from 1976 with Michael York.

5. Stockyards: Enjoy free daily authentic cattle drives that take place on the main street. They have multiple gift shops, restaurants, and historic venues. Located on the city's north side.

6. Modern Art Museum: Free Admission. Located in Cultural District.

7. Amon Carter Museum: Free admission. Located in Cultural District on city's west side.

8. Kimble museum: Majority of museum is free except for traveling exhibits. Located in Cultural District.

10. Forest Park: Free. Families have picnics on the banks of the Trinity River, playground free.
