Visit a local State park.

There is plenty to see for visitors to Central Arkansas. Visitors can visit local parks such as Lake Catherine State Park and Entergy Park. Lake Catherine sits on 1,940 acres of land and includes a historical native stone and wood created by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's. The local state park also includes a playground and several trails for either walking or biking. Entergy Park is located on the shore of Lake Hamilton, and is the newest park to the area. Entergy Park sits on 30 acres of land and includes more than 2 miles of hiking/biking trails, a 1,000-feet wildlife conservation trail, playground, and a handicapped-accessible fishing boardwalk. There are also 17 picnic facilities located at the park.

Visit the Arkansas Walk of Fame.

Located on Central Avenue in Downtown Hot Springs, the Walk of Fame features plaques of several inductees who were recognized nationally for making a significant contribution in their respected fields. More than 40 people are inducted including poet Maya Angelou, Johnny Cash, Bill Clinton, among many others. Established in 1996, this Walk of Fame is located between Reserve and Spring Street, and sits adjacent to the Hot Springs Visitors Center at the Hill Wheatley Plaza.
