Free Things To Do in London:
Museums - London has an abundance of fascinating museums and most of them offer free admission. Some of our family's favorite London museums are the Imperial War Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Museum of London. Spending a few hours in one of these world-class museums is just one example of the wonderful assortment of free things to do in London. A visit to the Imperial War Museum is truly unforgettable. The museum offers visitors the chance to experience the trenches of World War I and the bombing of London in World War II. The Natural History Museum has some incredible exhibits and most of them are free (some special exhibits charge an entrance fee). The Museum of London is a very entertaining way to learn about the history of the city of London.
Ceremony of the Keys - According to the official website of Historic Royal Palaces "The Ceremony of the Keys is the traditional locking up of the Tower of London and has taken place on each and every night, without fail, for at least 700 years." Visitors to London can actually attend this incredible historic event for free!! You need to be aware that the tickets to attend the Ceremony of the Keys are free but because of the limited supply, those who wish to attend the Ceremony of the Keys during their visit to London must write a letter with the following information:
Names of all attendees
Two possible dates you can attend for at least two months in advance (three months in advance if
you wish to attend in July or August).
Send a self-addressed envelope together with the requisite British postage stamps, or a minimum of
two "coupon-response international". Please note American or other non-British stamps are not valid
in the UK.

Changing of the Guard - What visit to London would be complete without experiencing the Changing of the Guard? The Changing of the Guard is undoubtedly the most famous of all London tourist activities. The Changing of the Guard occurs daily during the summer season and every other day during the winter season. For the most current information on the schedule for the Changing of the Guard you can consult the official website of the British Monarchy.
London is a wonderful city to visit and visitors are very lucky that there is such a wealth of free things to do in London. Have a great trip!!
