Art Museum

The St. Louis Art Museum is also located inside Forest Park. If you are looking to add some art into your day try the free Art Museum. There motto is "Dedicated to Art and Free to All". This museum is one of the nation's leading comprehensive art museums. The collections include excellent quality from almost every era and culture. Exhibits include "Oceanic art, pre-Columbian art, ancient Chinese bronzes, and European and American art of the late 19th and 20th centuries, with particular strength in 20th-century German art". Located on the St. Louis Art Museum website is a calendar that informs the public of other free things the museum is offering. Such as Family Sunday where kids get to play around with and learn textures.

St. Louis Science Center

This is one of the neatest places in St. Louis for kids. Almost everything here is hands on. Push a button to see how water affects the environment. Walk up to a dinosaur and see him moving and making noise. Visit the ends of the Earth and see there planetarium. You won't be able to get the kids from the Discovery Room after the 45 minute session exploring different interactive exhibits. Walk across the highway and look down at the cars passing you. Use the radar guns and see how fast the cars are moving. Then walk through the ground and see how pipes are laid and how an old mine used to look. Wrap your day up with a free interactive presentation on Center Stage on the Science Center's lower level.
