Enhancement for Your Tweeting

Twitter is a highly popular social networking tool that has millions of users trolling it each day. According to an article posted in 2009 on mashable.com, nearly 14 million users (from the United States alone) visits Twitter. Friends and family use it for staying in touch and keeping their status up to date, companies use it for advertising and attracting new customers and movie stars and musicians use it for promotion as well as keeping in touch with their fans. Twitter is almost like a simpler version of Facebook without all of the extra games and applications. It allows you to say what you want in simple statements so that your message can be nothing but short and sweet-while making your point.

Along with the famous social tool, developers on the web have been creating tools that are making Twitter easier to use, analyze and share files with. Some tools are used to view Twitter traffic, allow you to see how popular you are, send Twitter mail or even join groups. Most tools are all easy to use and free for download.

For Twitter users who are interested in viewing their traffic and graphing their visitors, they can visit the website, Tweet Stats(http://tweetstats.com). There is no software to download and use of the site is free. Interested viewers can simply enter their Twitter user-name and then it will graph information such as the number of tweets per hour, per month and how often you receive replies. It will place all of the statistics in a time-line showing which months and days you had the most hits. It also will place all of your most commonly used keywords in a "keyword cloud."

Another useful tool is the Tweet Cube (www.tweetcube.com). And no-it isn't a bunch of tweeters all tweeting inside a cubicle . The Tweet Cube is actually used for file sharing between other tweeters. It is free for everybody to use, and you can upload as many videos, images or files that you would like to share. Although, while you can upload as many files at a time as you would like, the maximum rate you can download at a time is 10 megabytes. Also, old files that are no longer being used are deleted after thirty days. The application was created by a company named, Anything Cashable, who are an online company which builds Internet applications. Tweeters who would like share files, simply log into the site by entering their Twitter user-name and password to begin. The website is continuously updating their website, making it easier and user-friendly for others to use-so there may still be a few quirks to work out.

On a diet or watching what you eat? Twitter can now help you keep track of your daily intake of food. With the tool, TweetyourEats.com, you can simply tweet what you are currently eat, and then it is recorded, placed into a category and it also can track calories too. The website is currently in beta, and the invite email may take some time to get sent to you. But once you receive the invitation email, you can be on your way to dieting with Twitter!

For tweeters who would like to schedule their tweets, try Future Tweets(http://futuretweets.com). Perhaps a friend or family member's birthday, anniversary or a special day is coming up and you would like to send them best wishes-schedule a tweet to do so! This is also useful for businesses who are having specials or coupons on products, and would like to Tweet them during the days or week of the sale too. Future Tweet is very useful for both business and individuals. There is no software to download, and you login with both your Twitter user-name and password. After logging in, you enter the future tweet, and then type the date that you would like to schedule it to "tweet." Your post will not be tweeted until the selected date. It is very simple to use.

While Twitter was built on a simple platform for users, there are a variety of applications available on the web, that enhance the usefulness of this highly popular social networking tool. Twittering just isn't about posting your status anymore-It's truly been taken to the next higher level of marketing and everyday use.
