Free Valentine Printables: Impress with Little Effort

Sylvie Branch
Valentine's Day is full of wonderful, loving ideas. I am simply blown away by all the creativity. Every January, the Valentine edition of Family Fun arrives at my doorstep and I am amazed at all the clever ideas and vow that this year my kids and I will make unique cards for everyone. Then reality hits. Between the classrooms of my four kids, combined with my own classes, the amount of homemade gifts needed would have to be started months earlier, not weeks.

One year we did tackle hundreds of adorable Valentines. It is something to look back on and remember, not repeat. I have learned my lesson. Especially when the tiny store bought cards received just as much attention as our silly creations. Clever is better one on one. So I hid the magazine this year and will create four, count them, four creative homemade Valentines. Everyone else will receive a simple pre-made card.

There are so many free Valentine printables available, this may not be as easy as I had imagined. The following are my favorites and the ones I am allowing my kids to choose from.

1. Valentine Tic-Tac-Toe Boards. This easy Valentine covers all the bases. It is unique, easy to prepare and it has a fun purpose. After printing out the boards, cut in bulk with a paper cutter. Place one board in a baggie with a handful of candy. If you are feeling ambitious, add a sticker or ribbon to the baggie.

2. Kawaii Valentine's Activity Sheets. Love these adorable printables. Cards, labels and activity sheets. Handing out an activity sheet with a sucker, piece of chocolate or valentine pencil would be a perfectly simple gift for teachers or class moms to hand out.

3. Simple Mini Cards. Nothing simpler than these small cards. Put your children in charge of coloring the cute images before handing out. Use a piece of tape to attach a candy and your obligation is fulfilled. If coloring is too much work this month ( and we have that kind of month from time to time ) print these already colored cards instead.

4. Adorable Mini Cards. These free printables would be fun for kids, tweens, teens or adults to hand out. In fact, I think I will be giving these Valentine cards to all my coworkers. So sweet, why leave the holiday gift giving up to kids?

5. Valentine's Day Stickers. Family Fun may have a lot of labor intensive creative Valentine ideas, but they also have these easy to print and use Valentine stickers. These stickers can turn any candy into a Valentine's Day treat. Stick one of these stickers on a chocolate mini, or on a baggie or cookies, popcorn or caramel corn for an easy gift.
