Valentines Day is almost here and it sure would be fun to make some Valentines crafts with our kids. While browsing on the internet I found a site that I would like to share with you. The name of the site is http://crafts.kaboose.com. This site has some really fun Valentines Day craft ideas.

One of the ideas that the site has is called a Pom Pom Valentine Critter. It is so adorable. This little critter is made from pink pom poms. It has wiggly eyes that look so cute. On the critter the creator has placed hearts in different spots. For instance, the ears are hearts and the nose has a heart with a purple pom pom on it. It also has a heart that it stands on. There is also a heart on the belly of the critter. This little critter looks so easy to make. I can't stress how cute it is though. You will have to go check it out. The craft is appropriate for ages 6 and up. I know that the kids are just going to love this little craft.

Another cute idea that they have at this site is called a Puffy Heart. This puffy heart is made from cardstock and tissue paper. The kids will cut out a heart shape from some cardstock. Once they have done this then they will cut tissue paper in squares. The tissue paper should be in pinks, whites, and reds for Valentines Day. Once the tissue paper is cut out then the kids can wrap the tissue paper on the end of a pencil and dab a little bit of glue onto the paper. After the glue is on the tissue paper they can place it onto the cardstock. They continue to do this until all of the cardstock is full. It will be a beautiful heart when they are finished. The appropriate age for this craft is age 5 and up.

A third idea that I really enjoyed at this site is where little girls can decorate barrettes to give to their friends. You can take a regular barrette and add lace or ribbons. When this is done you can add buttons or beads. I know that little girls would have so much fun doing these barrettes to give to their friends as Valentines Day gifts. They should be pretty inexpensive to do also.
