Career Builder One of the largest, most well known job sites on the web today, this site is very easy to use, has an extensive database for many locations all over the country. Resumes can be uploaded and publicly searched by employers. The local paper in my area uses this site to list its job listings online.
Monster This service landed me a job a few years ago, when I wasn't actively searching. When I began my job search, I posted my resume on Monster, searched through the listings, and walked away because nothing seemed to fit right. I continued to stay at home with my son, and a month or so later, I got a phone call. It was someone from a temp agency in Texas who had found my resume and thought I would be perfect for a position with a mortgage company starting the following day. The best part, she offered me double what local positions offered, paid weekly when the company itself paid twice monthly. I worked there for three months and my contract was extended another three, but a cross country move kept me from being able to hold the position.
America's Job Bank Though I am not personally familiar with this website, it hit the top of many different best of career website lists. Post resumes and search through job listings with ease.
Career.com A great resource for college graduates because there is a list of jobs just for them. There is an extensive searchable database as well. Job seekers can post resumes here for free.
Career MagazineIn addition to job searches, people can find advice on job interviews, resume tips, and more.
There are many more free job search engines, and countless paid subscription databases, along with a variety of local resources to use when looking for jobs.
