These picks are for 2008 if you are looking for prediction for week 9 of the 2010 NFL season thenclick here.

Thanks for reading my free NFL game predictions for week 9 of the 2009 season. I do these pro football game picks on a weekly basis; please check back next week as well. Last week I sucked at my week 8 predictions with a 7-5 record, not counting the Monday Night game. My won loss record for predicting NFL games for the season is a pretty good 79 and 32 though.

Remember these are free NFL game predictions for week 9 of the 2009 NFL schedule, Sunday November 8th. These football game picks are suitable for an NFL office pool. You big time football betters looking for a sports handicapper, may be disappointed as I don't covert football point spreads. However if you have a question about a point spread in week 9 of the NFL season, ask it in the comments. I will get back to you there within 24 hours. I also answer fantasy football questions for free, here at this link. Thanks again for reading my free football predictions for week 9 of the 2009 NFL season. Good luck with your office football pools and other football betting!

Baltimore at Cincinnati

The Ravens are fresh off embarrassing (as I predicted) the previously undefeated Denver Broncos and the Bengals had a bye in week 8. The Bengals are having a good season as you canread here and already beat the Ravens once in 2009.

The Ravens are playing good offense but the defense just isn't the same without Coach Ryan and some of the players that went with him to the New York Jets. However the Ravens play run defense pretty well. The Bengals themselves are very bad on pass defense but decent at run defense.

My week 9 football prediction for the Bengals and Ravens, is Baltimore won't get swept. Ravens 24, Bengals 13.

Arizona at Chicago

The Cardinals dropped a shocker when the Panthers came in and whipped their ass, and by running the ball. Arizona had previously been a great run defense team so far in the 2009 NFL season. The Bears are having problems running the ball this season and the defense is missing Brian Urlacher. I never was sold on Arizona and they are having issues between Larry Fitzgerald and Kurt Warner. Bears 17, Cardinals 14.

Washington at Atlanta

The Redskins are just playing out the string waiting on a new coach next year, if not before. Atlanta should be able to handle this one, even if they are a bit overrated. Keep in mind I am writing this before the week 8 Monday Night game. If the Falcons ended up killing the Saints I will look like an idiot. But the Falcons will beat the Redskins 28 to 10 on Sunday November 8th 2009.

Green Bay at Tampa Bay

The Bucs are bad and not in a good way. I am not sure if they will even win a game in 2009. So I have to go with the Green Bay Packers to win 35 to 17.

Miami at New England

The Dolphins had a slow start then started beating teams everything thinks they shouldn't. I don't think their Wildcat Formation will shock the Patriots anymore. New England wins 27 to 21.

Kansas City at Jacksonville

Two bad teams battle it out as the Chiefs visit the Jaguars. Maybe Jacksonville will decide that maybe, just maybe Maurice Jones Drew should get the ball more. The Chiefs can't and won't stop him. Jaguars 28, Chiefs 17.

Houston at Indianapolis

The Texans are looking better every week and may have found a running game with Ryan Moats last week. Their passing offense is running well but losing their tight end Owens will hurt them. The Texans are middle of the road on both run and pass defense.

The Colts are at the bottom of the league at running the ball but lead the NFL in passing offense. Peyton Manning is having a superb 2009 NFL season. Look for the Colts to stay undefeated and beat the Texans 28 to 17.

Carolina at New Orleans

The Panthers had their back against the wall Jake Delhomme was almost benched before they dismantled the Arizona Cardinals. Delhomme had his first game without an interception and had a 50 yard touchdown pass to Steve Smith. Jake Delhomme has knocked out of the game with a chest injury that saw him placed in the hospital for tests on his spleen.

The Saints are simply the best team in the NFC now, and should have little trouble with the Panthers. Carolina can't stop Drew Brees and the weapons at his disposal. New Orleans 28, Carolina 17.

Detroit at Seattle

The Lions lost to the lowly Rams and Seattle ran into the Dallas Cowboys on the wrong day last week. Seattle is bad but not to the level of the Lions. Seattle 24, Detroit 14.

Tennessee at San Francisco

The Titans got their first win last week when Vince Young was given the start at quarterback. The 49ers gave the Colts all they could handle as Vernon Davis continues to make name for himself at tight end. I just don't see the Titans beating the 49ers in week 9. San Francisco will defeat the Titans 28 to 21.

San Diego at the New York Giants

Ok I am off the Giants bandwagon after thinking they were the 2nd best team in the NFC. However the Chargers are the most underachieving team in the NFL. Got to think the Giants will end the losing skid, 24 to 17.

Dallas at Philadelphia

This should be the best game in week 9 of the 2009 NFL season. The Eagles dropped one to the Raiders then came back to stomp a mudhole in the Giants. The Cowboys have been flat until they inserted receiver Miles Austin in the lineup and now they have an explosive offense.

Dallas ranks 7th in passing and 6th in rushing. Tony Romo, Miles Austin, Jason Witten, Felix Jones and Marion Barber make for a pretty balanced offense. The Cowboys defense has been improving of late as well.

The Eagles bring in super explosive playmaker DeSean Jackson along with Donovan McNabb, rookie running back LeSean McCoy and a subdued Michael Vick. But their defense is playing a little better than the offense in most games. I think they really miss Dawkins who went to Denver though.

This is a big NFC East game and Romo has to prove to me he won't choke in big games like he has in the past. My free week 9 NFL game prediction is Eagles 27, Cowboys 24.

Pittsburgh at Denver

Denver fell back to earth when the Ravens nailed them and ended their undefeated season. Denver's defense has been carrying the team and I expect them to get at least 3 sacks on Big Ben.

I also suspect that the Steelers own defense will eliminate the Denver running game and be able to tee off on Kyle Orton. Pittsburgh plays the same punch you in the mouth style of defense that the Ravens used so well against Denver.

Pittsburgh will beat Denver in a squeaker 14 to 10.

Thanks for reading my free week 9 NFL predictions and remember to check back next week for week 10. And if you have a football handicapping question just leave the point spread and the game in the comments and I will answer it.

I liked the old uniforms on them but Freeman did play well for a rookie.

  • kyle s 11/9/2009

guess some of these games werent as straight forward as i though lol

  • Guest 11/6/2009

The Carolina Panthers i think are gonna be able to squeak out a victory if they play like they did against the Arizona Cardinals you gotta think the panther two runningbacks Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelio Williams i think if panther run pass very little i think they pull off the win

  • Randy Inman 11/5/2009

Denver does have a nice home field advantage.

  • kyle s 11/5/2009

i took denver at home...Mile High is possibly the toughest place to play in the NFL

  • kyle s 11/5/2009

that was my only difference with my picks to yours. this week, honestly, is pretty straight forward. theres 3 games in my mind that could go either way, AZ/Chi, Pit,Den, and Dal/Phi, other than that the rest should be 'locks'

  • Randy Inman 11/5/2009

Kyle- Sure Denver can win at home. Pittsburgh is not perfect by any means. And you are correct about their running game not showing up this season.

  • Randy Inman 11/5/2009

Snidely I can get better, the Redskins can't!
