Office Football Pool Picks for Week Five

Randy Inman

Thanks for reading my week 5 NFL game picks which will help you on your office football pool. My free week 5 NFL game predictions do not include point spread picks. Last week I went 11-4 not counting the Monday Night game. My 2011 NFL game prediction record is now 46 and 19, click here to see how I am doing in the YCN prediction contest.

Free week 5 NFL game picks

New Orleans at Carolina

The Saints are probably the 2nd best team in football behind the Packers. Carolina is scrappy but banged up on defense. Cam Newton is the real deal but the Panthers have too many penalties on offense. Carolina went toe to toe with the Packers but the Saints will win 31 to 28 in Charlotte.

Oakland at Houston

The Raiders and Texans are both hard teams to predict. I do like the Texans this year to make their move. My free week five NFL game pick is the Texans win 24 to 17.

Arizona at Minnesota

McNabb is a shadow of his former self and may be benched to let the rookie try his had, later in the season. Arizona runs hot and cold but I like their offense to keep improving. I like Arizona to beat the Vikings on the road, 21 to 14.

Kansas City at Indianapolis

Both of these teams are having bad years and are missing key players. I like the Colts at home to win 14 to 10.

Seattle at New York Giants

Seattle impressed me with their hard play last week but then so did the Giants. My week five office football prediction is the Giants win 24 to 14.

Philadelphia at Buffalo

As I predicted last week the Bills were upset by the Bengals but I didn't predict the Eagles stinking up the place. The Eagles don't have the linemen to win many NFL games and Buffalo knocks them off 28 to 24.

Cincinnati at Jacksonville

Jacksonville is scrappy but under talented, the Bengals are just lacking the talent. But I like the rookies on the Bengals offense and Cincinnati wins 20 to 13.

Tennessee at Pittsburgh

The Steelers are old and banged up and the Titans are flying under the radar and quietly having a great season. Still I think the Steelers circle the wagons and win at home 21 to 17.

Tampa Bay at San Francisco

Tampa has Josh Freeman who is heading to elite quarterback status but not much more. I have not given the 49ers much love this season but I am buying in this week. Besides with an angel like Rachel de Carlos pulling for them the 49ers will win 21 to 17.

New York Jets at New England

When I think of the Jets the great old song "The Great Pretender" plays in my head. New England 31 Jets 21.

San Diego at Denver

Will John Fox turn it around? No not this year. My free week five NFL game prediction is the Chargers 24, Broncos 14.

Green Bay at Atlanta

The Packers defense is pretty bad but so is Atlanta's. I love Matt Ryan at home but also think the Packers are the best team in football. Packers come in and have a letdown in a 35 o 31 loss to the Falcons.

Monday Night Prediction for week five

The Bears used a monster day by Forte to squeak by the Panthers and Detroit needed another Romo meltdown to beat Dallas. I like the Lions at home to win 24 to 17.

Nice effort, but I think you will have 5-7 losses this week. Good luck though.

Thanks for the mention, Randy! I hope the Niners won't tilt my halo this week! :)
