A cute idea for Halloween pumpkin carving is to carve one using an image of the lovable character Winnie the Pooh. The most easy way to do that is to use a pumpkin carving stencil.

You can find a free Winnie the Pooh stencil on the Disney website Family.com. It is a printable stencil which means you can print it out from your home computer. The image is a portrait shot of the bear smiling. You can view and print it out from the website by following the link at the end of this article in the resource section.

The website Family.com also provides simple to follow directions for using the free Winnie the Pooh carving stencil.

Free Winnie the Pooh Carving Stencils to Make

If you can't find an image of the honey bear you like, you can always try making your own carving stencil of the character.

One way of doing that is by using free clipart as a starting point. Clipart For Free from blogspot has a small collection of such clipart.

Once you find an image you like, you can save it and print it out. You might need to use a photo program to resize it so it fits right on the pumpkin. If you don't want to make a traditional cut away stencil, you could simply use it to trace around and then use paint to decorate it.

Another idea is to download and print out free dingbats.

The website Scrapping Table has a Winnie the Pooh themed dingbat set. Once downloaded, you can enlarge the characters and print them out. Silhouette images work great as pumpkin carving stencils. Most people are familiar with the character that they should be able to tell who it is just by the silhouette.
