Freedom to Pursue Happiness

Ok, I'm a little afraid of the political climate right now. I think if the Republicans stand a chance at winning, they need to decide who will bow out gracefully right now and let us get behind someone from now on. Rudy, Mit, Fred. Who will be top banana for the race. We need real leadership not politics. A real faithful Christian would be nice who is strong on defense and supports a strong economy. I am a little scared that our money is being exported to China as we obliviously line up to buy Wii and ipod gadgets and are too busy discussing the merits of Sponge Bob to see what's really going on. We had thirty years to fix the oil problem and now we're seeing $3 a gallon because no one wants a real solution.

Environmentalist is just another name for pot head who thinks its ok to bankrupt America while China is spewing out even more toxic waste than we did. Who uses child labor, slave labor and has NO OSHA controls whatsoever. We are so blessed in this country. But if we are to stay strong we need to remember what our forefathers sacrificed in order to grant us our freedom.

They risked their lives during the Revolutionary War in order that we wouldn't have taxation without representation. We have supported other countries throughout the world. But it is a far more complicated time these days. Corporations avoid paying taxes to the USA. They set up their businesses overseas and then when they ship jobs to others, all we can do is moan and groan. Americans had always been thrifty, ala Benjamin Franklin, keen on industry, and we glorify the great entrepreneurs of old like Rockefeller and Vanderbilt who changed the way business was done and left a legacy.

Men have been pursuing glory since the days of old, their egos thrive on control and conquer. Pumped up with testosterone, they are built for the fight. As a young Republican woman who is conservative. I have no problems with marriage. Its just that I see this garbage pushed down the average American's throat about sleazy sex and drug abusing pop stars, it's a wonder anyone has any values at all. It's a downhill slide into anarchy. We have grown so gluttonous and filled with lusts that unless people remember we are to love God and others as we love ourselves, we will fall into the dirt of yore like the Romans and Greeks.

What will we remembered as by the archaeologists digging up McDonalds big gulp cups 2000 years from now. What will the history books read when everyone speaks Chinese? I don't mean to be negative, but in some Eastern countries, it is so bad that parents sell their girl children into the sex trade to put food on the table. We should be proud to be American and remember the good things, like the pursuit of happiness and put the liberals out of commission. They hate America. They'll do everything to say how bad we are and they should just go to Europe where everyone thinks the same. I could have been a professor if I could stomach being locked in such a loveless atmosphere where so called intellectuals say hogwash like "sex happens." I'm more concerned with a man loving me than having lots of sex with complete strangers.
