Freedom's Song

Tony Jingo

To be sung with the strength of liberty,
To allow sharp tongues and voices of civility.
To enable nations to thrive with free men & women,
To allow generations to perpetuate this again & again.

To face evil or avert our eyes,
To be brave or with our enemies sympathize.
It is ours to choose...
To win, fight, or lose.

I love the painting and the poem. For some unknown reason, the words to the "Battle Hymn of the Republic" ran through my mind the other day, and they are really awesome when you think of them individually. This is in the same spirit.
