However, there is a way that you can "recycle" the content that you offer for paid publication on Associated Content that will not only increase your page views, but it will eventually put more money in your pocket by adding clients for your own freelance writing services.
What you need to make this system work:
1) An account with Associated Content.
2) Content submitted for payment consideration with non-exclusive rights on Associated Content.
3) A website where you offer freelance writing services.
4) An xml/rss parser script (perl or php generally)
5) The ability to add the parsing script to your freelance writing website or the ability to hire someone to do it.
6) A small list of high ranking article directories or websites that accept select article submissions; usually this is better with directories that do not allow syndication.
We'll skip the obvious steps of creating an account with Associated Content and the submission of content, as if you get stuck on these points; you should get the hang of things a little bit before attempting this method.
Step 1: Create a freelance writing website
If you don't already have one, this method requires the use of your own freelance writing website; preferably one that lists your writing services and also has a way for potential clients to order services straight from your website.
Step 2: Add an xml/rss feed parser
For this method to work correctly, you will need to take the rss/xml feed URL from your Associated Content page and have the output, which is the title and description of the content you've submitted on Associated Content, print out your published content as your "freelance writing examples" page.
My websites are written in Perl/CGI, so I use the Perl module XML::FeedPP; it's free, but likely you'll need your web hosting company to install this for you as it is not commonly available with the default setup of most web hosting companies. Of course, there are free PHP rss/xml parsers available as well.
Step 3: Submit your content published on Associated Content to a few article directories
By submitting your published content from Associated Content to a few high ranking websites, you will not only work to improve your freelance writing websites link popularity, you will work to improve your search engine rankings for your keywords of choice.
With this step it's important that you are able to specify and alternate the anchor text used that points to your website within the author bio. It's also advised that you don't submit to the same directories every time. I personally maintain a list of about 70 high ranking article directories that allow HTML for the author bio; allowing me to create keyword targeted anchor text while using only a few directories per published article.
How this process works and why it will benefit your freelance writing endeavors
Initially, you will get paid for the content that you publish on Associated Content. While it's normally a pittance compared to what a professional freelance writer will charge for content; that's of no consequence. You're still getting paid, and you will put this content to work for you.
Your freelance writing website will slowly, but surely, climb up in rankings for your intended keywords. Now, you should be aware that incoming links are not the only thing necessary for improved search engine rankings and in competitive markets you will need to work on more optimization techniques than this method lists. However, only using this outlined method will surely help in most cases.
Now that your website is increasing in rankings for your keyword of choice, you're getting targeted website visitors; people actively looking for freelance writing services.
When these visitors are looking thorough your website, they will undoubtedly click through to your freelance writing examples page, and this is where you list the content you have published on Associated Content. Et voilĂ ; when your website visitor views your freelance writing examples - you'll increase your page view count, thus accruing the page view bonus from Associated Content.
Using this guide you will not only increase your page views on Associated Content leading to a higher bonus; you will likely pick up some new freelance writing customers to boot.

Post a CommentInteresting. I didn't know this.
Good advice. You can also do the same thing with a blog, although a freelance website allows more revenue options. :)
