There is an easy way to free-up space on your hard drive. I will give you step-by-step instructions on the 3 ways of how to run the program without the need of an Internet connection. This process is done using your "Disk Cleanup" program which takes could take 5 minutes or 3 hours depending on how long it has been since the program was last ran. The program Frees-up hard drive space by removing temporary Internet files, removing downloaded program files, emptying your recycling bin, removing Windows temporary files, removing optional Windows components that you are not using, and removing installed programs that you no longer use.

Run your "Disk Cleanup" program by following these instructions:
1. Click on your start menu.
2. Go to "All Programs"
3. Then go to "Accessories"
4. Next go to "System Tools"
5. Then click "Disk Cleanup"
6. When the "Select Drive" box pops up select one of your drives (if you have multiple) using the drop down box.
7. After the program is done scanning, another box will pop up called "Disk Cleanup for C:" (or other drive previously selected). When this box appears be sure to place a check mark in each box to the left of the pop up. After you have placed a check in each box, click the "Ok" button at the bottom.
8. Then another box will pop upon your screen saying "Are you sure you want to perform these actions?" Click the "Yes" box on the left.
9. Another "Disk Cleanup" box will appear with a progression bar saying "Cleaning:" at the bottom.

Another way to run your "Disk Cleanup" program is to follow these instructions:
1. Click on your start menu
2. Next click "Run
3. In the open box, type "cleanmgr"
4. Next click "Ok"
5. Then follow steps 6-9 from the first set of instructions

The third way to run your "Disk Cleanup" program is by following these instructions:
1. Click on your start menu
2. Go to "My Computer" and click on it
3. Then right-click on the disk you would like to free-up space
4. Next click "Properties"
5. Click on the "General" tab
6. And then click "Disk Cleanup"
7. Then follow steps 6-9 from the first set of instructions

After following all these steps your hard drive will have additional space for you to use. It is important to run this program as often as once a week to keep your computer running smoothly.
