There are many ways to lose weight . You can go on a diet, surgery, sweat them away or have lyposuction. There are so many different diets, that individuals have been able to become multi-millionaires establishing their own plans. Now there is still another way to lose weight and it is by freezing fat cells. This article explains how this process works.
This plan was recently approved by the Food and Drug Association (FDA). Basically the fat cells are frozen over time. They shrivel up and die. Does this sound like a late night infomercial? The device that does this process is made by the Zeltiq company. The device is called a Cryolipolysis. The process works over several months. The process takes one and half to two hours per visit.
As Zeltiq explains its "coolsculpting" procedure, a dermatologist or plastic surgeon uses vacuum pressure to draw the offending tissue into a cup, where it is cooled down for ten minutes or so. A few days later, the cooled fat cells begin a process called "apoptosis" and begin to shrink, Zeltiq's adherents claim.
The best candidate for Zeltiq is someone who is in relatively good shape, but has modest areas of fat bulges that they'd like removed. It's not an alternative to healthy diet or lifestyle.
Coolsculpting is highly effective and is producing consistent results for local areas of fat like the love-handles or 'man-boobs', though larger areas of fat may require more invasive treatments.
The nearest treatment center is located in Chicago. It will take some time for this process to begin in other areas of the country. When it does, it could be flooded with patients. The process is a painless procedure. Cost for the process will vary for areas.
