French Onion Soup Mix
Recipe with a ghastly combination
of onion flavored shoelaces
With a pinch of garlic anchovies
Hand frozen in midair
Lid to pepper shaker flips open
Dumping all useful seasoning
Plus an additional surplus of spice
Tongue engulfed in pepper flames
Shriveled up to the touch
After the fire department douses it in ice water
Sense of taste and compassionate foreplay
Burned up with the rest of the tongue
Grabbing some dinner mints
And a swig of scotch
To wash out the aftertaste of charcoal laces
Disgusted at the idea of another culinary failure
Too many green nauseated faces
Smelling the sour scent of moldy gym socks
Dipped in Dr. Scholls
Wondering what to make next
That does not reek of a cooking disaster
Hopefully the next time won't be as bad as this one
Let's wait and eat a big helping.
