Freschetta Singles Brick Oven Fire Baked Crust Portabella Mushroom Spinach Pizza Review

Freshetta Singles Review

If you are in the mood for delicious pizza but don't want to cook a large quality pizza, then maybe you should check out Freschetta Singles Brick Oven Fire Baked Crust Pizzas. When I saw the Freschetta Singles box I knew I had to try it so I checked out the Freschetta Singles Roasted Portabella Mushroom Spinach Pizza.

When I opened the package I found that the pizza had two large clumps of spinach laying on top. I removed these but there was still plenty of spinach left. The Portabella Mushrooms and the cheese were also plentiful. The sauce was a cream sauce which gave the Freschetta Singles Roasted Portabella Mushroom Spinach Pizza a nice garlic taste.

Although there were microwave cooking directions, I decided to choose the oven cooking method for the best crust texture. Although the box didn't say this was the best method, I think that it is. It was easy to bake. I just removed the pizza from the box and overwrap, placed in a preheated 400 F oven and bake until the cheese is melted and golden. However, I did place the frozen pizza on a cookie sheet instead of placing the pizza directly on the rack as the instructions stated.

The smelled wonderful while it was baking. A mild garlic scent filled the kitchen. The smell of the Freschetta pizza ensured that you wouldn't forget about it and burn it because you will constantly be checking to see if it is done yet.

I cut the pizza into four pieces, ample enough food for one person. Perhaps it would be a great meal for two if both parties were dieting or minimally hungry.

The taste of the pizza was probably comparable to the larger Freschetta pizzas. The crust baked up nicely. It was crispy in part, but also on the soft side since it wasn't a super thin crust. The Portabella Mushrooms were fresh and the remaining spinach didn't taste too bad either. The sauce was a creamy garlic sauce instead of tomato sauce. I thought the combination was a nice change from the popular meat pizzas.

As with most prepackaged food, what sounds healthy might not really be. So I wasn't too surprised when I found out that the total fat of one serving was sixteen grams. That is twenty-five percent of the daily values. The Freschetta Singles contained six grams of saturated fat which is thirty percent of the daily values. It gets worse. One Freshetta Single contained of the daily values eight percent cholesterol, and forty-one percent sodium.

I found Freschetta Singles at Krogers in the frozen pizza section. One drawback too buying the Roasted Portabella Mushrooms Spinach Pizza instead of the meat pizzas is the higher cost. I paid around five dollars as a sale price compared to four dollars for the other varieties.

I would recommend the Freschetta Singles Brick Oven Fire Baked Crust Portabella Mushroom Spinach Pizza to anyone loves pizza and also has no dietary restrictions.
