Fresh Gourmet Deli-Style Parmesan Caesar Premium Croutons Product Review

Lee Hansen

Do you enjoy a guilty pleasure from time to time? My hand will be the first to go up. I try to make them occasional so as not to let them become a downright bad habit. One such indulgence for me is Fresh Gourmet Deli-Style and Caesar Premium Croutons. I can feel the crunch now as my salivary glands are set in motion. Mm! Mm! Good!

The packaging of this product is superbly done. The bright, vivid colors seem to reach out to the consumer in 3-D fashion. These croutons are sealed in a sturdy and re-sealable Fresh-Lock bag that easily opens and closes.

And just as pictured on the front cover, inside you will see a variety of different colors of wheat, pumpernickel and specialty breads in crouton form. This product comes in a 5 ounce bag and has 0 grams of trans fat. The serving size is 6 croutons and comes with approximately 20 servings per bag. As far as caloric content, there are 30 per serving with 10 of these derived from fat. Total carbohydrates are listed as 4 grams. The croutons are not stingy in size.

Fresh Gourmet has a family of products that are listed on the back. Additionally, consumers can visit their website at www.visitfreshgourmet.com for products, recipes, store locations, a survey and contact information.

Their wording on the back sums it up best which says, "Our crispy, crunchy toppings add taste and excitement to salads and more!"

Although not an Aldi brand, this is where this product was purchased for a very minimal and economical price.

Hands down, I would highly recommend this product to deliciously dress up that salad, baked potato, soups and a variety of other dishes.

I am a crouton lover too and especially enjoy "restaurant style" croutons~They are quite flavorful and add zest to soups, salads, stews, etc~
