Fresh Homemade Juice Recipes for Adults

Many adults find it difficult to get their daily requirement of vegetables and fruit. Commercial juices are made from concentrate and many are full of sugar, salt or other additives. If you have finicky person that refuses to eat certain vegetables you could serve those vegetables in the form of juice. Fresh homemade juices are loaded with vitamins, minerals and enzymes needed for healthy adults.

Ruby Red Juice

6 large carrots

1 large beet

2 stalks of celery

A few sprigs parsley

Wash and cut to fit feeder tube, juice and serve. Serves 1 or 2

Apple and Spices Cocktail

4 apples washed and cut to fit feeder tube

1 carrot scrubbed

1 stalk celery, washed ( use the celery leaves too)

1 piece ginger root 1-inch

¼ tsp ground nutmeg

¼ tsp cardamom

Process apples, carrots, celery and ginger in juicer. Pour into a pitcher and whisk in spices. Serves 2

Mixed Berry Cocktail

2 cups washed raspberries

2 oranges peeled and quartered

½ cup fresh cranberries

½ cup washed strawberries

Process all together in juicer, pour into chilled glasses and serve. Serves 2

Detoxify With Flavor

1 celery stalk

10 carrots

5 oz green grapes

Several large sprigs of parsley

Clean and chop all ingredients (to fit the feeding tube). Push half of the celery, carrots and grapes into the feeding tube, followed by the parsley and the remaining ingredients. Juice until thoroughly combined. Pour into two individual glasses and serve immediately!

Lemon Juice Cleanser

Great for treating gallstones!

2 lemons

1 apple, washed and cut to fit feeder tube

2tsp molasses (substitute ¼ tsp stevia, if desired)

¼ tsp cayenne pepper

Using juicer process lemons and apple. Whisk together and pour into large glass, stir in molasses and cayenne pepper. Serves 1. Cayenne stimulates blood circulation, purifiers the blood and expels mucus.

Beet Juice Cleanser

A pleasant internal wash!

1 apple washed and cut to fit feeder tube

1 Medium beet scrubbed and cut to fit feeder tube

1 cup dandelion leaves, washed

2 tsp maple syrup - to taste (substitute ¼ tsp stevia, if desired)

Using juicer, process apple, dandelion and beet. Whisk together with maple syrup, pour into glass and serve. Serves 1. Dandelion cleanses the liver and blood. It filters toxins and acts as a mild laxative.
