Fresh Supernova mascara is alcohol-free and enriched with meadow foam seed oil that serves to condition and add shine to the lashes. Fresh Supernova mascara doesn't contain sulfate, synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances or phthalates. According to Sephora's product description for this mascara it's suppose to lengthen and strengthen the lashes.
What I liked about Fresh Supernova mascara was that it separated and defined my lashes very nicely, coating ever single lash as far as I could tell. It also didn't smudge, smear of flaked. Flaking is a definite no go for me when it comes to mascaras because I'm a contact lens wearer. The last thing I want to worry and mess around with is a flaky mascara irritating my eyes. I found that Fresh Supernova mascara held my curls well too. What I really loved was the brush, it's slender with a lot of bristles. I like slender brushes because it makes it easy for me to apply my mascara with no mess. I've been using this mascara several times a week for about three weeks now and haven't noticed any clumping.
There are some downsides to Fresh Supernova mascara too. The one thing that this mascara claimed to do was lengthen, and I didn't notice any lengthening going on. It also did nothing in terms of adding volume. I'm not a fan of lengthening mascaras that don't also add volume because it makes my lashes look even sparse. The other negative aspect to Fresh Supernova mascara was the price, a regular tube of this mascara cost $25. If you're use to spending up to $50 on a tube of mascara this is a bargain, but if you're use to drugstore prices $25 is on the steep side.
Overall though I liked Fresh Supernova mascara but it's by no means my favorite. Is it worth spending $25 on? I personally don't think so, and I don't intend on purchasing the full size version of this mascara either. Sephora's product description recommended using Fresh Supernova mascara with Fresh Firebird mascara for volume. The total cost would be $50 and honestly, I'd really just rather spend $30 on one tube of mascara that does it all.
