Friday's Stupid Headlines there's 2

John Lennon's Tooth Up For Auction

Born in October of 1940, John Winston Lennon probably never saw the magnitude himself and his band of brothers would have on the music industry. Sometime between 1964 and 1968 John gave an adoring housekeeper a molar he had extracted at the dentist. The musician likely did not envision his decaying molar selling at auction for $16,000 either.

There are millions of different types of memorabilia associated with the generally agreed upon greatest rock and roll band of all time. A decaying molar from a deceased musical icon just does not seem the "must have" conversation piece.

The Beatles formed in 1960 selling more than 107 billion albums in a single decade. This is a huge statement toward their popularity with only more recent musicians like Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Garth Brooks coming even close.

On December 8, 1980 John Lennon was shot to death by Mark David Chapman as John and Ono returned to their New York apartment. He was 40 years old.

Obama to Offer Student Loan Relief

There's a headline for the masses seeking a gainful education...Obama to Offer Student Loan Relief ...but, here's the kicker, the headline directly below that headline says: College Tuition and Fees on the Rise!!! One co-joined with the other creates a stupid headline.

Questioning preponderance furrows our collective faces as once again the question "where's the cooperation?" springs forth. L.O.C. could be the acronym for "lock" shortening the term Lack of Cooperation and illustrating the end result. This is the culprit, this is the demon within that kills all good ideas regardless of party, stature, wealth, religion.

Cooperation on its own is the struggling, the fighting, the saving and the dying that really are trying to make things better while others live in lock stuck in their own idiocies. Cooperation puts in overtime to make sure the company meets business demands and corporate deadlines. Cooperation puts the fires out and stops a burglary in progress. Cooperation builds monuments revered around the world and it builds character within a community. Only cooperation can create positive results that all involved can look back on in pride, dignity, accomplishment, and satisfaction.

The country is in a state of chaos on many levels but, it is also hampered by many elements that could be eliminated through the people themselves. The thought process within John Kennedy's most quoted quote seems to be in reverse in 2011. In 1963 the President asked us to ask not and instead do for the country. In 2011 this ideology seems to have reversed with the population in general asking the government to fix everything while the government acquires very little cooperation in the effort toward doing so.

The idiocy of the headlines in combination above, along with many current reality's being faced are a mark in a history we have treaded before. The similarity between the market crash, the troubles within employment and housing, healthcare issues and war were all as present in the 1920's as they are now. Does this mark progression? Does this mean we have grown in learning from our past mistakes and strove unselfishly toward better futures? Does this illustrate a true level of cooperation between humanity to be an existence worth remembering?
