Friendly's Ultimate Grilled Cheese Burger Melt is a Surprisingly Good Hit.

Ice Cream Does Not Always Make the Meal, but Most of the Time at Friendly's Ice Cream Makes the Meal.

My wife and I went out the other night and decided to eat at Friendly's fro dinner. I am not sure why but Friendly's appears to change their menu more than any restaurant in the same class. I actually went there looking to get a chili cheeseburger that I had a couple of months ago only to find out they had a new menu. There are usually a few things like burgers, a turkey melt, and chicken fingers that remain constant on the menu. I started looking through the menu and asked the waiter what he thought of the Ultimate Grilled Cheese Burger Melt and he told me he really liked and it was really good. I decided to try it.

You get the burger cut in half with toothpicks holding it together and fries. This is a burger that instead of a roll uses two grilled cheese sandwiches as the roll. It is not a patty melt in which you put the burger and cheese between two pieces of bread. This gives you four slices of bread, two slices of cheese, and a burger patty. It Comes with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise standard, I don't eat mayonnaise so I got mine without it and everything else the same way. I found it to be a very satisfying meal. With the appetizer I did not even finish all of my fries. I will say it is a bit greasy, but not too much and it gets a bit slippery because of the veggies, which is why you get the toothpicks. I would recommend this as a change of pace. With all the food it has on it I probably would not eat it very often and I am sure my arteries will thank me for it.

For my public service work here is the nutritional information for the Ultimate Grilled Cheese Burger Melt. All of this is based on how it is served with mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato. I am glad I did not look this up before I ate it. The Ultimate Grilled Cheese Burger has 1,500 calories, 97 grams of fat, 38 grams of saturated fat, 101 grams of carbohydrates and 51 grams of protein. This is definitely a once in a wile burger that you would eat.
