Friends Are Forever Haiku
Dedicated to the Memory of Betty Malone
I wrote these haiku about friendships after hearing of the early death of a new friend, Betty Malone. Betty was one of those people who shared herself unselfishly here at Associated Content. Her friendly messages of encouragement, support, comments, and silly messages were invaluable to many contributors, myself included. Her friends here at AC will miss her so much. Take the time to let your friends know how much you care about each of them. They are life's treasures, so treasure them!
Friends are life's treasures
Found in all sorts of places
At home and online.
Your friends can be new
Or people known forever
Special gifts to love.
So sweet to have friends
So sad to lose them to death
Memories to hold.
Friendships are treasures
Take care of every one
Friends are forever.

Beautiful photo and haiku. I've always said, we're never promised another day. It's a sad reality. We mourn the loss of those we love, but at the same time, no one knows when their last day will be. I'm happy to have befriended Betty. She was a wonderful person, and I'll miss her kind comments and smile. Wouldn't it be nice if we could send our messages to Heaven? :)
