Friends for Life

My Forever Friends

Julie Sadie
June 05, 1995 - the day we first met and would you believe, we're still friends until now? Meet my Forever Friends....

Eah - soft-spoken, serious, diligent, the shy type, beautiful inside and out. Way back in college, we envied her because all of the good things were being said to her. People around us liked her. She exemplified the character of an ideal woman that's why she had plenty of suitors. She's not the type who would tell you how she feels, would rather keep it to herself even if she's hurting. You have to be real close to her to know what's deep inside her. We were flabbergasted when she told us she had a boyfriend already. We made a vow we won't have a boyfriend until we finish college, she broke the vow! Now, she's happily married, with two charming kids. We became even closer since we're both wives and moms.

Belle - strong-willed, career-oriented, independent, smart, a woman trapped in a man's body. Kidding aside, she's with a sexy bod... she likes it when you say good things about her. She's the most focused among the five of us. She knows what she likes and she will get it by no means. She has a different kind of laugh, I don't know how to explain it, but when she laughs there's a funny sound. She lives in the mountains, yes in Baguio because she works there in Moog. She makes her home in Baguio a place to stay whenever we're there. Everytime I hear the song "Remember Me This Way", I remember her because she once gave me a letter with that song in it. Until now she's still single but she's no longer available. Some foreign man made her heart beat again (after a painful relationship, we're happy she's with someone now).

Tina - petite, fun to be with, small but terrible (I mean it in a nice way), bread winner of her family. You see, inside that small body is a very strong personality. She loves her family so much. She's dedicated to her church ministry. Snubbish sometimes, maybe that's why guys are intimidated. She can always be there whenever you need her. She can warm your heart in her own little ways. I remember one time, after I gave birth to my first child, she visited me... what touched my heart is that, she came alone, not minding the rain and how far the place. And she would make extra effort to help you in times of need - like depositing some money to your account. *winks* Guys, she's still available...

LV- shopaholic, brand conscious, the mysterious type, loves gimmicks...loves to travel. She's my constant companion way back in college. Also my secret-keeper. She knows almost everything about me,... my crushes, my failed exams, my problems, my hopes & wishes... we were always partners in crime, haha... When you need her, just call her and she'd be there. Although she might be childish at times, she values her family so much. We've been through a lot in our friendship, since she has a tendency to be stubborn sometimes... She's still single,... we witnessed how her heart was broken, by someone who wasn't man enough to stand up for her... But we believe that in God's time, she will be with the man God has prepared for her.

Funny, but despite our personal differences, we remained friends after all these years. We're not just friends, we're like sisters already. Because of the distance between us, we only get together on special occasions but we make sure we update each other. I wondered how we were able to do it. Then I realize, it's because we share a common faith in Jesus, our Lord and Savior... it's because we made Him the center of our friendship,... that even with our own flaws and weaknesses, we still see what's beautiful in each of us. Thirteen years of friendship - and still counting...
