Friends Worry Rehab Might Be Harder Then Prison for Lindsay Lohan

Sources close to actress Lindsay Lohan worry that her time in rehab will be harder on the struggling star then her time in prison.

The source, who said they are a close friend of Lohan's, told MSNBC that the reports of Lindsay Lohan crying in jail are embellished and what the star is suffering from the most is loneliness and being isolated from her family and friends.

The source told the network, "Sure, it's hard for her, but it's not supposed to be fun. This is the first time she's truly being punished."

While Lindsay's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley spoke publicly about her hope that her client would get out of prison sometime this week, a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spokesman disputed the notion in a press conference Monday afternoon. Lindsay Lohan was originally sentenced to 90 days in jail, followed by 90 days in a drug and alcohol rehab center, but she might be out of jail by next week.

The source close to Lindsay said she needs rehab more than anything right now and actually accepting the help and admitting she has a problem will be the hardest part for Lindsay. "Ninety days is going to feel like a long time to her. She doesn't stay anywhere for 90 straight days. And, this isn't going to be the kind of rehab that caters to her. If Lindsay's going to learn something, it will be from rehab, not from jail."
