Friendship

Phylis
Friendship, over time, becomes as distinctive as fine china.

Shared experiences, etched in gold on two hearts, bind two souls.

Complete set,

Unique, precious,

Something to behold.

Though unwanted chips and cracks mar the original design,

The fissures form a pattern even more precious than before.

Delicate,

Yet unbroken,

And the set's complete.

Unless, of course, the load of life's burden creates crushing weight,

Too powerful for a bond of two fragile souls to withstand.

Then, sadly,

The heirloom breaks,

And the treasure's lost.

Was checking old messages I have collected over the years, had one from you and wanted to stop by and say hi.

great job ♥ thanks for sharing - this is incredibly beautiful. I recently lost a good friend because of a misunderstanding; I miss her, but she is too distant, now.
