Looking for something scary to do this fall season? Look no further than Darien Lake Theme Park, where they offer their annual FrightFest. FrightFest offers activities for both the wee ones and adults. This makes a trip to Darien Lake in Batavia, New York, a worthwhile experience for the entire family.

For Everyone (especially the Little Kids)

FrightFest runs weekends, Friday through Sunday between September 26th and October 19th. You'll find every imaginable way to get spooked here, starting with Darien's BooVille (appropriate for the entire family, a place where little ones won't get too scared). Inside BooVille you'll find the Halloween Hay Maze, Picture Cut Outs (great for photo opportunities!) and Pumpkin Painting. BooVille is located just beyond the entrance to the Ride of Steel.

Another good opportunity for the little ones is "Trick or Treat Trail" located in Adventure Isle, in the ship. Dress up your little goblin and he or she can get treats when they walk through this fun themed area!

Starting September 27th is Crazy Cliff's Twisted Nightmare - a brand new, very imaginative illusion, magic and freak show. Located in the Grand Theater, this show is sure to please Halloween lovers.

The LaserBlast Spooktacular is a creepy take on the always favorite Laser Show. Everyone's favorite monster songs are featured in this show that consists of defined, beautiful lasers creating horrific images, and fireworks to boot! This show is located near the Boomerang in the LaserBlast Theater.

For Everyone over 12

The spooky themed Haunted House is located just past BooVille and takes you through the Darien Lake cemetery. There is an additional charge to get scared out of your mind through this house - what does creepy cost? Only $3.

Darien Lake is offereing a "Fright Night Field Trip" this year. Get your ticket and get onboard this bus ride through the (known to be) haunted Darien Lake campground.

And don't forget about all of the exciting rides Darien Lake offers. Just like any other day, those diabolical roller coasters are there for the conquering. Most of the Six Flags rides that don't involve water will be open during Fright Fest.

Tickets are $19.99 for adults and if you're lucky enough to be a child under 48'' tall, or a senior citizen, your price is only $12.99. Get tickets at Wegmans and save money - $15.99 for adults and only $10.99 for kids. Remember, admission into the haunted house (for people over 12 only) is an additional $3.

Darien Lake is halfway between Buffalo and Rochester and is an easy drive from any of the major eastern United States cities.
