Fright Night a Scary Halloween Poem

dessy321
As you are off trick or treating with friends on this Halloween night
stop and take a good look around for things that go bump in the night
ask yourself could that little ghost, goblin or demon be the real thing?
its a good one to ask, as you never know who or what you will be meeting

Very strange things will occur when the clock strikes midnight
Vampires, and Zombies emerge from their graves late at night
While Witches and Warlocks are in the woods brewing up spells
In hopes to release their demon friends that are trapped in hell

The Werewolves and Banshees howls roll through the night air
A warning to all young and old, we are coming soon to scare
lock all your windows and doors, and tuck yourself into bed real tight
And prepare yourself to meet the things that do go bump in the night

When you find yourself tucked in under the sheets you will start to shake
scared to peek out wondering if that thumping sound was real or fake
What was that tugging you just felt at the bottom of your bed?
Was that someones hand pulling my sheets or is it just all in my head?

Unexplained shadows will dance across your ceiling and walls
Soon you will hear foot steps walking into your room from the hall
Suddenly you feel the air in your room becomes eerie and cold
Beware it is the shadowman that just crossed your threshold

It is not too late to ask to God to keep the dead things a bay
This is the best advice for you to follow on this Halloween day
Is it silly to be scared of the bumps and bangs during the night?
Or is it just someone having fun trying to give you a fright?

Great poem! I love Halloween. You have inspired me to read Edgar Allen Poe again...
