Fright-mare Manor is shrouded in mystery. If you live in Jefferson City, Tennessee, or any of the surrounding areas, you'll hear different descriptive tales on what actually took place at this site. Seriously though-it wasn't always called Fright-mare Manor (you knew that right?). This restaurant/house dates back decades ago, some say to the civil war era. Needless to say, it's actually haunted. Thats right, a truly original haunted spook house for Halloween! It's the ultimate thrill for those who are seeking being scared to death.

Doubters have even succumbed to seeking out this attraction this year. For the state of Tennessee, this is one of the biggest events for Halloween 2009! Will it make it for year after year? No way to say for sure but if the history of the place has any say so--my personal guess would be a yes without question. A little brief overview of the place will leave you tingling down to your toes!

Fright-mare Manor was once a profitable restaurant. It served its customers well with delicious meals and quite friendly service, at least everyone thought so. However, one of the cooks thought he'd take his service to another level entirely, a sickly one to say the least! This man (we'll call him Drake) sought ought people to kill. That's right guys and gals, this guy was a serial killer working in a professional position. He'd lure potential customers to the restaurant after hours, knock them unconscious and chain them up in the establishments cellar. See, no one was the wiser because he was the only one that ever went into the cellar. As story has it, he tortured his victims mercilessly until they died or he killed them himself. No one heard their shrieks because the cellar (no doubt) was underground and shrouded in by brick encasing. Sound proof--without question. To conceal the evidence, old Drakey boy buried his victims inbehind cement walls that he continuously built onto the cellar.

The old saying is that, he was never caught but the bodies were eventually found. Their poor souls are not at peace though-- due to dying such tragic and gruesome deaths. Therefore, their spirits haunt that restaurant-filling it with cold drafts, unruly sounds, and even some have witnessed the movement of objects(better known as telekinesis). What better way to profit off a place like this than turning it into a spook house for Halloween! Nevertheless, its' up to the consumers to decide if its' the real deal or just another spoof for spooky fun on October31. Do you dare travel to find out?

Place is misleading. they charge you $$ to take a bus from the parking lot to the attraction, then try to add sur charges per person is paying with a credit card. Then take you to another attraction by bus when you want to go back to your car.
