but at the things which are not seen:
for the things which are seen are temporal;
but the things which are not seen are eternal."
(2 Corinthians 4:18)
Frivolous things - my troubles seem,
in light of what really matters in life.
Who will care at the end of the road
about these things that cause me strife?
Why let the temporal things affect me,
when the eternal things are so much higher?
Why give others power to defeat me,
when I stand 'neath the Pillar of Fire?
Oh Lord, defend me -
Confound and confuse all of my foes.
Stand between me and my pursuers.
Take away all of my woes.

"And the angel of God,
which went before the camp of Israel,
removed and went behind them;
and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face,
and stood behind them;
And it came between
the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel;
and it was cloud and darkness to them,
but it gave light by night to these:
so that the one came not near the other all the night."

Lovely poem, great job !
The armor of God is always with you. Powerful poem.
Excellent piece that is full of truth. Ever since my battle with cancer I try every day to focus on the important things in life and give God the first place in everything I do.
This poem contains some good spiritual advice. Sometimes my focus becomes to earthly, and then it is time for me to pray that God will help me to lift my eyes a little higher. Good job.
I love this !!!...thought provoking and beautiful !!!!!!
