Frizz-Ease products have always made my hair feel really good; and I've always really liked how they provide heat protection and conditioning while at the same time being such light-weight products. So, hopefully 'cone products are safe to use. I'm still researching this issue though. But, just in case; I only use 'cone products sparingly and not nearly as much as I used to.
This is a very lightweight hair spray. The Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hair Spray bottle states that this product provides an "Instant style supporting barrier and helps seal out humidity." I honestly just don't know about whether this product or any product can truly seal out humidity. The only product I've found that provides reliable resistance to humidity, is a hat.
I usually use the Hair Spray when I put heated curlers in my hair. The spray contains water so it can cause my hair to revert back to it's natural state too much; if I'm trying to hold a looser, straighter curl.
But, if I've got heated curlers in my hair; then the spray dries while the curler is warm and cooling down. Sometimes I use the spray by itself for this; and it provides me with a very loose, fluffy curl; or other times I use it over mousse and the heated rollers. This gives me a tighter more long lasting curl. Neither of these styles are resistant to humidity. Without the mousse; even the slightest humidity reverts my texturized 3b hair almost instantly.
Overall, I like Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hair Spray. It does provide a decent hold. It's noticeable; but not extremely strong. I wouldn't necessarily call it a firm hold though; because the wind is a pretty worthy adversary to it.
I would describe the Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hair Spray hold as medium soft.
This is because your hair remains very soft when you use this spray; and the product doesn't build up on your hair. It smells pretty good and seems like a well made product. I enjoy using Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hair Spray in a sensory way. If they make a super hold; I might try using the Frizz-Ease version of that. As far as hair sprays go; Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hair Spray is the first one I've used that doesn't feel or smell cheap. I'd just like a little more hold-or even a lot more hold-if I don't have to compromise touch-ability.
