For a bargain hunter like myself, I'd say the best part is that many online stores boast prices largely better than offline 'brick and mortar' stores. Surfing through vast online catalogs to find those elusive, must-have great deals takes all the fun of window shopping to a computer monitor near you.
Just how good do these online deals get?
Well, one fine day (5th June 07) I was sleuthing around for some personal PC protection software for my home computer when I saw Buy.com giving away the McAfee PC Protection Plus for 3 users, the latest 2007 edition, for free after a $30 rebate. Reliable brand? Check. Reliable merchant? Check Free Shipping? Check. Price savings? Big check. Of course there was a flip side - that I had to send in the mail-in rebate, but hey, I was getting some good software FOC.
I'd point you to the exact same page I've visited, but as of the time of writing (13th June) the price after rebate has risen to $30. That's one defining characteristic of online deals: easy come, easy go. Some of them expire pretty fast because people know a good deal when they see one, they rush in - and it's all gone. Out of Stock.
Whenever I caught onto one of these deals I'll pass them on to my buddies via email, and they were all mighty grateful. Then it occurred to me that a lot of people would enjoy the deals I sniffed out. Which is why I've setup my own website to share my finds: FroggieShops.com, named after my pet frog.
I've partnered with reputable, recognizable brands like Buy.com, Staples.com, Amazon.com, Office Depot, Wal-mart - just to name a few. I post all the cool deals I find everyday, so you'll get to enjoy them in good time(as opposed to lamenting their passing after expiry or out-of-stock).
Sure, there are bigger price comparison sites around like Pricegrabber.com - but I can assure you that all the deals I post boast the best prices online - you'll be pleasantly surprised that I often sleuth out especially low prices that slip under the radar of the big-time comparison shopping sites. Think of us as your personal shopping sleuth!
