From Afar

Lee Leon

Among the many constellations, shining from afar
Amongst a thousand thousand stars, I found a special star
Against odds astronomical, my luck for once played true
And fate smiled on me just that once, and with that smile came you.

We lived two lives so far apart, so separate in space
And yet the beating of my heart crossed to another place
So easily the many miles that held our souls apart
Was shrunken by the love I found, that blossomed in my heart.

Somehow I found you from afar, not knowing I should do
Not knowing I was not entire, not knowing I lacked you
Not knowing I moved clumsily, before you brought me grace
Synchronised in heartbeat time and intertwined in space.

I wanted to be a serious writer - unfortunately my muse is a small and not completely sane sheep - but what can you do? It's hard to explain, but that's life and I guess someone has to do it!  View profile
