I'll plant you as a tiny seed
and see how well you grow
I make the dirt ready for you
and prepare it with a hoe.
and see how well you grow
I make the dirt ready for you
and prepare it with a hoe.
I water almost daily,
appreciate the rain.
Pull the weeds that need not be
and do it all again.
As weeks go by I watch you grow.
My work includes a prayer
some tender love, a little time
and lots of precious care.
With Autumn near the veggies grow
and everything is fresh
The blessings of my joy and work
of me I am impressed.

Post a CommentSweet poem.
Nice Rhonda.
Enjoyed another gardening poem.
Reading, I've had to do other things and then my Internet goes out at night :( Finally catching up!
Seed catalog time! I have one brave daffodil coming up -- the snow just disappeared last week that was covering the flower bed.
Nice poem for spring :)
I'm so ready for spring!
I agree with Kristie, the flow of this is just as natural as mother nature working on your seeds. Nicely done Rhonda.
You've captured one of the joys of gardening. This year, our crocus bulbs have come forth and I know that planting seeds is just around the corner. Such a miracle to see the new seedlings appear!
The Spring -- there is simply nothing like it. Unfortunately, it was viewed as a god by some in the past -- yet you can almost see why. So beautiful. So rewarding. Just the greatest time of the year!
