From Wall St. To Main St

For the past two weeks I have been commuting to Manhattan Island. I live in Jersey City New Jersey. For me it's about a 10-15 minute trip. I have been going to NYC looking for jobs. But as we all know, there aren't really any opportunities to jump on! This is the time where people are losing their jobs.

This market has not only effected Wall St., but it has trickled down to Main St., as well. I mean I have been looking for work since April. That's going on five months, this is terrible. I know some of you out there are having the same problem. I don't know when this is going to end, but I hope and pray it does soon.

Today 9/30 I headed to Wall St. There were news vans on every sidewalk downtown. It didn't hit me then, but I wondered to myself, what are they all doing here? I soon realized after walking towards the east side, that they were all there on Wall St.

I mean not only were the news crews there, but everyone else as well. I saw people protesting, with white masks and signs that wrote "Greed Kills." I was a little surprised, but this is when people exercise their freedom of speech. People were taking pictures of everything, Wall St, the surrounding buildings, other people and the folks that work over at the stock exchange.

What a day, full of commotion and people, just lots and lots of people. I wonder what tomorrow holds... Im not sure, but I'm sure I'll find out tomorrow.
