Options for online learning abound at Front Range. They vary from non-credit courses for personal or professional enrichment to credit-earning courses to be taken in conjunction with on-campus classes, and full degree and certificate programs.
The Associate of Arts degree courses of study at Front Range are very diverse, ranging from anthropology and ethnic studies to Italian and sociology, to Russian and women's studies. There are twenty-five different degree options available that are sure to be of interest to the student wanting to pursue a degree in the arts, humanities, or social sciences.
A few examples of the eight different Associate of Science degree options are astronomy, meteorology, computer science, and physics. In the Associate of Applied Sciences, there are and amazing thirty-eight different options to choose from to earn degrees and certificates. Some of them include business, computer-aided drafting and design, interior design, American Sign Language interpreter preparation, paraeducator, geographic information systems, masonry arts, nursing, paramedic, and teaching English as a second language.
Continuing Education choices at Front Range are even more diverse than their traditional degree programs. There are non-credit earning courses in digital photography, writing and publishing, grant writing, starting your own business, and a host of personal enrichment courses such as how to care for aging parents or write your life story.
Front Range partners with the four-year college Metro State College of Denver to offer easy transfers to students wishing to pursue a Bachelor's degree in one of the of the following areas of study: management, marketing, or criminal justice and criminology.
There are several scholarships available through Front Range Community College, and the college's financial aid website is full of resources and information on outside opportunities to find money to attend Front Range, including information on how to apply for state and federal financial aid. Tuition at Front Range is very cheap compared to four-year universities, but watch out for out-of-state resident fees. They will bump the cost of attendance up significantly. There are some cases where the out-of-state resident requirement for in-state tuition rates can be waived. Contact the financial aid office for more details.
There is definitely something for everyone at Front Range Community College. With several campuses serving a broad area, residents in several different counties and cities can easily take advantage of the flexibility Front Range offers its prospective students. Online courses, degrees, and certificates enhance the college's ability to be accessible to students from all walks of life.
