Front Row Motorsports

Jacob Horn
Over the next few weeks and months I hope to do a little series on current teams that are participating in NASCAR. As I watch NASCAR with my famliy one of the most confusing things is trying to figure out who races for who so this will provide me with the opportunity to learn more about the sport while also enlightening you. Unfortunately, NASCAR is becoming like other major sports regarding free agency and people moving from one team to another. By the time you read this it may no longer be correct but here we go. With the first few articles I hope to highlight teams that ESPN and Fox don't normally focus on.

Front Row Motorsports will be the first team we look at. Their website is a little outdated but it says at the bottom of the home page that they are planning on redesigning it soon. In an attempt to be accurate all of the information below will come from their webpage (http://www.frontrowmotorsports.com/home.htm), except where noted. This team began in 2004 and the owner is Bob Jenkins. Jenkins is in the restaurant business but I could not determine his exact connection to this sector because of lazy research (sorry but I am struggling as it is to write this article at 11:36PM central time). There is a Bob Jenkins (different source from the Front Row Motorsports website) who was formerly associated with Taco Bell and is now affiliated with 7-11 but I could not confirm if this was the same Bob Jenkins. Please note that the Bob Jenkins associated with NASCAR from an announcing/radio/media perspective is a different Bob Jenkins.

This team has two drivers. John Andretti and Tony Raines. They drive the #34 and #37 cars respectively. This shows how primative their website is but I could not locate the sponsors for either of these drivers. If I recall correctly, I believe Taco Bell sponsors the 34 but I could be wrong. It would make sense considering one of the Bob Jenkins I located was affiliated with Taco Bell in the past but I cannot confirm this. I could not even determine what make and model of vehicle is driven by these two drivers because I could not locate it anywhere on the website. I really wish this article could have been more helpful but just check out the website for yourself to see the amount (lack) of information. Maybe the revised website will provide us with more information. It is to bad that I will probably never be motivated again to do an article over Front Row Motorsports. At least you now know a little bit more than you probably did about Front Row Motorsports.
